COVID-19 Update: In order to protect the health and safety of our dancers, staff, and their families, and to comply with national physical distancing directives to curb the spread of COVID-19, we are pleased to offer all of our Irish dance classes virtually through the Zoom platform. You will get the same high-quality, personal instruction you've come to expect from Motor City Irish Dance — but now from the comfort of your own home! And you don't even have to be from Michigan — we are pleased to welcome students from other states, and even other countries! We will also be offering some classes that will run concurrently on Zoom and on-site in our studio or outdoors, and the instructor will interact with both groups simultaneously; thus, students who sign up for these classes have the flexibility to attend each session either virtually or in person! Check our registration portal for the most up-to-date information on which classes have in-person options. Please note: we currently require all persons in the studio to wear a mask and maintain social distancing; thus, no more than eight dancers will be allowed on the floor at a time. Our policies and classes will continue to be adjusted regularly in accordance with local COVID-19 prevention mandates. Please E-mail firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
To take a virtual class, all you need is a device with a webcam, microphone, and sound, that can operate Zoom (either through the Zoom app or through a web browser). The Zoom meeting links will be made available to you in the registration portal after you sign up for class.
Please refer to our Classes page for detailed descriptions of each of our class offerings.
Beginning this fall, we are pleased to again be able to offer classes at the Great Lakes Kids Energy Zone. We've also teamed up with Oxford Virtual Academy, so students can take Irish dance from us as an elective class! See the separate schedules for these classes below.
